Adrienne Ng is a corporate/commercial and trade-mark lawyer.

Prior to launching Open LLP in 2016, Adrienne was a partner at a boutique business and intellectual property law firm and also previously worked at an international full-service law firm on Bay Street in Toronto.

Adrienne graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2011, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2012.

Prior to her legal career, Adrienne trained as a Chemical Engineer at the University of Toronto and was once heavily involved in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. She has worked as a Manager of Process Engineering at Sanofi Pasteur, the country's largest vaccine company. She has also worked with numerous biotechnology and life sciences companies in her role as a Consultant at YORKbiotech, a Regional Innovation Network in Ontario. She has also been a researcher at the University of Toronto's Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering.

Adrienne is also intimately familiar with what start-up companies need and understands the challenges they face, as she is an entrepreneur herself. Adrienne is a co-founder and director of Indie Coffee Passport, a cool company that encourages people to discover the independent coffee culture in their city. The Passport has been featured in Toronto Life Magazine, The Toronto Star's "toronto.com", The Ottawa Citizen, CBC Radio, Metro News, Eye Weekly, The Grid, BlogTO, Torontoist, Nightlife Magazine and La Presse. Adrienne is also co-founder of LUVYT, an online store for wedding jewelry rentals. Adrienne's most recent start-up is HippoMD, a mobile app that dispatches doctors, on-demand, directly to patients.

Adrienne is also well-versed in the technology space. She has been coding and building websites since she was 15, is proficient in front-end web design and development, as well as web and mobile UI/UX design.

Adrienne loves working with start-ups, tech, fashion, cannabis or otherwise, and often finds herself as part of a start-up's journey from inception to a significant financing to beyond, drawing from both her entrepreneurial and legal experience.
